Job Agent is open-source software that helps users evaluate job opportunities, prepare application materials, and maintain local career records.

Software license

Job Agent is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3. The GPLv3 controls your rights to copy, run, modify, and distribute the software.

No hosted service

Job Agent does not provide a developer-operated account or hosted service. It runs through ChatGPT or Codex and stores its durable records in a local workspace selected by the user.

User responsibility

Job Agent provides assistance, not guarantees. You are responsible for reviewing job information, verifying generated materials, protecting personal information, and deciding whether and how to apply. Job Agent does not submit applications, contact employers, or make employment decisions for you.

Third-party services

Use of ChatGPT, Codex, job boards, employer sites, and other third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

Warranty and liability

Job Agent is provided without warranty, as described in GPLv3 sections 15 and 16. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for decisions, missed opportunities, inaccurate third-party information, or losses arising from use of the software.

Changes and support

Material changes will be published in the project repository. For support, open a GitHub issue without posting sensitive career information.
